The FRM is the specialist credential for risk management — two exams covering market, credit, operational and liquidity risk plus the Basel framework.

The FRM is the specialist credential for risk management, run by GARP over two exams covering market, credit, operational and liquidity risk plus the regulatory framework. It's narrower than the CFA and correspondingly faster to complete. It carries most weight in bank risk functions and regulatory roles, where the Basel material it covers is the daily working vocabulary.
