# Seed Phrase

A seed phrase is 12 or 24 words that regenerate every private key in a wallet — the single point of both recovery and total loss. Anyone who reads it owns your assets. It must never be photographed, typed into a website, or stored in a cloud note, and no legitimate support agent will ever ask for it, which makes the request itself a perfect fraud detector.
