# Sustainable Investing

*ESG & Sustainable Finance — Finicade finance glossary*

Sustainable investing incorporates environmental, social and governance factors alongside financial ones. It splits into three distinct approaches that are often conflated: screening out what you object to, integrating ESG data as financial risk information, and investing for measurable real-world impact. Only the second makes a purely financial claim, and it is the one with the most defensible evidence behind it.
