Lot Size
Also called: standard lot, mini lot, contract size
Lot size is the standardised quantity a trade is denominated in — 100,000 units for a standard FX lot, 10,000 for a mini, 1,000 for a micro. It's the multiplier that converts a tiny price move into a meaningful sum, and choosing it is position sizing in practice. Trading a standard lot on a small account is how leverage quietly becomes 50:1 exposure.
