Trend Line

Also called: trendline, channel, uptrend line

A trend line connects successive highs or lows to define the direction and slope of a move, with a break of the line read as a possible reversal. Its weakness is that it's drawn by hand: two analysts will place different lines on the same chart, which makes it unfalsifiable in a way that moving averages, computed by rule, are not.
