FINAL BOSS · LIVE SIMULATION

The War Room

You're the Chief Risk Officer, and the whole firm watches one number: the model's value at risk. Ten audits land on the war-room table — a normal day, a vol spike, a liquidity gap, a correlation break, a credit jump, a full-blown cascade — and each time you read the book's loss distribution, judge whether the reported VaR is honest, and set the firm's posture from full risk-on down to battle stations. The lesson the course was building to is brutal: on the days that actually blow firms up, the VaR reads green. Manage to the number and you detonate in a tail it never priced. But cower in cash through every scare and the board removes you — you owe a return, and one of these panics is a false alarm. Read the tail, not the number.

💰
CapitalThe firm's capital base. A tail you leave uncovered craters it. Zero is a blow-up — the audit is over, whatever the model said.
🎖️
MandateThe board's confidence in you. Recklessness AND chronic over-caution (missing the return you owe) both burn it. Zero → you're removed.
📈
ReturnThe cumulative return you're marked against. Sitting in cash starves it; you have a target to clear, so pure de-risking fails.
🌊
Tail exposureUncovered tail exposure (lower is better). Ride a fat tail with the book fully on and it spikes; past 100 the desk is force-deleveraged into the crash.

The VaR says you're fine. The tail says otherwise. Ten audits — read which one is lying.

🚀 You're taking this chair early. It's the finale of Risk Arena, built for after Level 20 — play it anyway, and you'll find out fast what the course is for.
