Disability Insurance
Also called: income protection, long-term disability, DI
Disability insurance replaces part of your income if illness or injury stops you working — statistically far more likely during a career than death, and far less often insured. The critical wording is the definition of disability: 'own occupation' pays if you can't do your job, while 'any occupation' pays only if you can't do any job, and the price difference between them buys a completely different product.
